Gouri Deshpande

Gouri is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Software Engineering department at the University of Calgary. Before pursuing her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, she worked in Information Technology (IT) industry for a decade in various roles, such as software engineer and senior software Engineer. She is a Grace Hopper scholar and a recipient of the Alberta Innovates graduate student scholarship in Data-Enabled innovation and the Elizabeth Cannon scholarship in Entrepreneurial thinking. Gouri, a mother of two, is passionate about her research, teaching, gardening, painting, and yoga.
