Richard Zhao

Dr. Richard Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Calgary. He leads the Serious Games Research Group, focusing on games and gaming-related technologies for training and educational purposes. In his research, he utilizes artificial intelligence, including reinforcement learning, supervised learning, and search-based AI, to provide adaptive and personalized experiences. Dr. Zhao received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta.
